We have made great strides in transitions our customers over to the robust document management system—Document Locator. The software has been installed in 36 counties. Within our county customer base, we have 600 dedicated or named user licenses! There are also 21 desktop concurrent licenses installed meaning different users can sign on at different times. 42 WebTools and 108 WebView licenses have also been implemented enabling access to Document Locator through a browser version.
Our customers are utilizing Document Locator for scanning in documents through 172 different scan stations and storing documents directly from Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe pdf. Being able to full text search documents has been a popular feature as well. More and more clients are discovering the advantages of using automatic workflows to notify other offices of new documents and/or changes to existing documents. Having a direct link to their existing database in the IBM i allows them to remain in their daily use software while accessing imaged documents.
Integration with Microsoft Windows places document management right within the familiar Microsoft Explorer view.
